“Outstanding guest artists support Wood’s musical vision without compromising his clean, melody-driven guitar sound. Contemplative and at times mesmerizing and relaxing  without putting you to sleep.”

Covid Concerts

It's June, and we're realizing we're not going to get out of this Covid experience anytime soon. Some outdoor concert venues are opening up, and you can hear occasional live music, but certainly not like we had before. Currently, I am available for live socially-distanced "porch" concerts at your home. I've performed one solo, and one with my trio Cellocentric. We'd love to share our music with your community.

New configuration of Cellocentric

This Fall has been very busy for making muse. If you have not kept up, I've been lucky to be working with 2 fabulous musicians: Arleigh Savage (bassoon) and Carolina Borja (cello). We've been writing new music and gearing up for some fun gigs in the upcoming months.

You can check out a video sample of some new work here:

Hi All.
The new CD is here.
Thanks to Tara Hanish for coming from NYC to perform at the CD release show last weekend. Tara (cello) and Darren Frate (bass) did an awesome job on the CD, as did producer/recording engineer Dale Peters (who also worked a little percussion magic on track 11).

Award Nominations 2017

I'm deeply touched that my trio Cellocentric, featuring myself, Tara Hanish, and Darren Frate, just received "Best Instrumental Song" nomination and "Best Album" nomination by the Just Plain Folk Awards.

Just Plain Folks awards is a "Best Of" featuring over 17400 albums and 240000 songs from all over the world. The fact that we made it to the final tier is really touching. Winners will be announced soon, and there will be a concert, also to be announced soon.

Guys With Guitars

5 years ago, I started a concept called "Guys With Guitars." The idea was to have several solo artists performing live and on stage together. I took the idea of the concept from the old Windham Hill concert series. Currently, the show features myself, Darren Frate, and Patrick Woods. We each play our own solo tunes, but then have the chance to collaborate on fun tunes like this one:

Classical Music in CLE

On Tuesday, I was invited to perform by Classical Revolution Cleveland at the Happy Dog Euclid Tavern. Love seeing so many awesome musicians... mostly classical, but you get some non-classical, too. Thanks Ariel for doing such a great job hosting this event.
I'll be at the next one at Happy Dog west-side this coming Tuesday the 20th.
